In the age of AI and social media, our attention span has become shorter than ever. We have become accustomed to reading AI generated exerpts instead of full articles, and we can easily ask ChatGPT to write academic essays in mere seconds. As a result, students are struggling to critically read and analyze long texts, but it is not their fault. How do we solve this problem? The Chicago Literacy Studio designed a curriculum to help students be literate, not only in the traditional sense, but with digital media as well.
